Q: What risks do these products pose?

A:  The recalled jewelry contains levels of lead that exceed the lead content standards set forth by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (the “CPSC”).  Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Q: What should I do if my child has one of these products?

A: Please immediately take away the recalled jewelry from the child and return the item for a full refund (including applicable tax) to the retail store where it was purchased.

Q: Is my child at risk if she or he wore, touched or played with these bracelets or necklaces?

A. Lead is toxic only if ingested by young children.

Q: Should I have my child tested for lead poisoning?

A: If you have any concerns, you should consult your family doctor.

Q: Have these products caused any harm?

A: We have not received any complaints related to the safety of the product or any allegations or reports of injuries associated with the product.

Q: How did Juicy Couture discover the problem?

A:  We hired an independent research lab to test the product. They discovered that the items contain levels of lead that exceed the lead content standards set forth by the CPSC.

Q: Why didn’t Juicy Couture have the jewelry tested before making it available to consumers?

A: Due to an oversight in our testing procedures, we did not have the jewelry tested in advance of making it available to consumers. We are taking steps to keep this from happening again.

Q: How do I return or exchange the product?

A:  Please return the product to the retail store where it was purchased for either a full cash refund or credit equal to the purchase price of the product or a replacement product.

Q: If I gave the bracelet as a gift, what should I do?

A: We urge you to contact your friend or family member as soon as possible and then collect and return the item to the retail store where purchased for a full refund or credit for a replacement gift.

Q: How is the recall being implemented?

A: In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Juicy Couture is conducting a voluntary product recall.

To do so, we have issued a “Stop-Sale” notice throughout our retail stores and have contacted all other retailers who sell these products.  Furthermore, we have distributed point of purchase recall posters to be displayed for 120 days at the main register areas of all appropriate stores.

The recall posters will have a toll free telephone number for consumers to contact Juicy Couture’s customer service for information.  Juicy Couture will also post a link to the recall information on its retail website www.juicycouture.com/recall. Finally, Juicy Couture’s retailers will send direct mail notification of the recall to those consumers who purchased the products through its catalogs or retail website and at retail to the extent that they can be identified.

Q: What will happen to the recalled products?

A: All units returned by consumers, as well as all unopened and unsold affected units, will be destroyed and disposed of under the careful and direct supervisions of Juicy Couture.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission will document the entire recall, destructions and disposal process.

the light
your eyes
your lips
your smile
so sweet
that couple of seconds stare
that glare
your hair
the touch
skin
that hug
breathe
a kiss
a simple bliss
i even miss

a random thought that needed to let go

a thought of friendship
a thought of love
a thought of sweet
a thought in life
a thought from past
a thought seeks the future
a thought that would not speak with lips but type a way through fingers.
